Arsen is a well known performer and a local favourite with a large fan base. His performances at various music festivals and events since his arrival in Vancouver, BC in 2008 continue to be received with awe at his talent! His group are world-class; their music covers a range of genres from blues, rock, funk, rockabilly and swing, and they are on fire right now! They won the International Blues Challenge in Vancouver, BC in 2013, taking them to Memphis in 2014. Arsen’s fifth record Dynamic, was released in August 2014 and he is soon beginning work on his 6th album.
Highlights from the past few years include the 2013 Edmonton Labatt Blues Festival, 2012 Safeway Waterfront Blues Festival in Portland, 2011 performances at the Blossom Into Blues Festival (Edmonton), Great Canadian Bike Rally (Merritt), and the Nanaimo, Powell River and Pender Harbour Blues Festivals. Earlier performances include 2010 blues festivals in Montreal and Calgary, and the Kaslo Jazz Festival, 2009 Edmonton Labatt Blues Festival, 2008 Maple Ridge Jazz & Blues Festival, and the 2007 Arkansas Blues & Heritage Festival where he won the “Emerging Artist” category.
In 2010 the Toronto Blues Society nominated Arsen for the Maple Blues Award “New Artist of the Year”.

Richard is very proud of his vinyl record Blues section, it's located in the back of the store. You'll find he has many old original pressings of James Cotton, Memphis Slim, Muddy Waters and etc.. and lots of current recording artist's releases too. They're all for SALE, and all very reasonably priced.
Records on Sale at Dinner Dance

Don't miss the Live After 5 JAZZ JAM every Thursday at 5-7 PM in the Atrium at the Rotary Centre for the Arts.
Appropriate for all ages, the program showcases local talent in our South Atrium. Your host, Craig Thomson or Stephen Buck, coordinates drum, bass and keys. This event is open to everyone, if you're an artist, performer or simply interested in arts and entertainment – come and have some fun and get a chance to meet people in an approachable and relaxed environment. Along with the entertainment, browse art in the Galleria or Artist Studios. The building is very active on Thursdays, with the wildly popular Salsa Thursdays at 8PM. Plus the RCA Bistro is licensed and open for food, gelato & beverages.
